hey there... im bob, but u can call me ~*ShadowSonic*~ when ur on my page. ive been obsessed with music 4 as long as i can remember. not just any music tho — im talkin bout the DARK stuff. the kind of music that makes u feel things deep down, u know? the kind that understands the shadows of the human soul. ive spent the last year or so really diving deep into gothic rock, industrial, and darkwave. bands like The Cure, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails... theyre not just bands 2 me, theyre like... theyre like mirrors 4 my soul. every song tells a story, every album is a journey into darkness and beauty intertwined. im also really into poetry — esp dark poetry that explores themes of loss, longing, and the void. sometimes i write my own stuff too (theyre not very good but its therapeutic lol). i spend a lot of time in my room listening 2 music, reading about the goth subculture, and trying 2 understand the deeper meanings in song lyrics. my favorite thing about the goth scene is how accepting it is. everyones here because they feel things deeply, because theyre searching 4 something real in a world full of plastic and disposability. were all misfits in our own way, and thats beautiful.

ive been collecting records 4 the past 2 years now. theres something so authentic about vinyl — the way u have 2 actually sit down and listen 2 a whole album instead of just skipping through. its an experience.

finally got around 2 updating this page!!! ive been SO busy with school and work that i havent had time 2 work on my shrine. been listening 2 a lot of The Sisters of Mercy lately — theyre amazing. their song Temple of Love is just... WOW. anyway i finally added the music section so check it out!!! September 3, 2002
went 2 my first goth club downtown last weekend and it was INCREDIBLE. everyone was so cool and accepted and the music was just perfect. heard a cover of Enjoy the Silence that literally gave me chills. made some new friends 2 — gonna try 2 go every weekend now lol. August 19, 2002
found an old copy of The Cure's Three Imaginary Boys at a record store 4 like $2. SO lucky. been listening 2 it all day. 10:15 Saturday Night is stuck in my head now. this is y i love vinyl — u find these hidden gems that make ur day so much better. July 30, 2002
life has been kinda heavy lately. sometimes i feel like no1 understands me but then i put on some goth music and everything makes sense. thats y music is so important 2 me. its like therapy but better. been trying 2 finish reading this book about Edgar Allan Poe... hes amazing.
